My family believes that I cannot truly be happy unless I am open about my identity to the world. My past relationships and my unstable career in the NHL are proof of the consequences of staying in the closet. Make sure you introduce yourself properly.

To be fair, I didn't immediately recognize Ollie Strömberg. I typically cover football, not hockey.

I never expected to see him again, and he was never supposed to find out that I am a reporter. However, everything changes when my editor reassigns me to cover Ollie.

It's a lesson I should have learned by now. Things haven't changed since high school - jocks still dislike nerds, and athletes have a particular distaste for journalists, especially those who uncover their secrets.
