Wildflowers are among the easiest, hardiest, and fastest-growing flowers available to gardeners. Avoid using pesticides, as they are harmful to bees. Growing insect-friendly flowers is crucial for supporting your local honeybee population. Wildflower blends are easy to grow from seed and can be directly sown outdoors after the frost.

Mix the wildflower seeds with sand to improve visibility during sowing. Broadcast the seed/sand mixture over a weeded area (this package covers up to 250 square feet) and evenly rake and lightly tamp the wildflower seeds into the soil. Germination for the 23 varieties typically occurs between 10-30 days. Wildflower seeds can also be sown in the fall and will remain dormant until spring.
