Now my life revolves around hockey, school, and looking after my younger siblings since a tragic accident claimed the lives of our parents. My big brother and I have the responsibility of caring for our five younger siblings, a task that often involves preventing them from fighting and burning their meals. Despite these challenges, I am also expected to pursue a college degree, but finding time to study proves difficult.

The pressure to maintain good grades weighs on me, as my spot on the hockey team is at risk if my academic performance doesn't improve. That's why when the new equipment manager offers to help me with tutoring, I feel compelled to accept, even though I know I probably shouldn't. He is the son of the coach and undeniably alluring.

As the current equipment manager for my father's hockey team, my duties include managing equipment and ensuring players are settled in during away games. However, looking after Asher Dalton was not part of my job description. Despite this, when his brother requests that I keep an eye on him, I agree. I also offer to help him with his classes when I notice he's struggling.
